Writing

Before Phillip started podcasting, his first attempt at content creation was writing, and cybersecurity was not the first topic. He wrote blog posts on the subjects of powerlifting and powerlifting nutrition. His article "Powerlifting Nutrition 101" was republished on the Live Strong health and fitness website. His first cybersecurity article was for Hakin9 Magazine a magazine dedicated to hacking and cybersecurity. The article was titled "How to Use The Mac OS X Hackers Toolbox," an article on installing pentesting tools on Mac OS X. The article appeared in multiple editions of the magazine, including one of the publisher's other magazines eForensics Magazine. Phillip has written articles for the Ethical Hacker Network, United States Cybersecurity Magazine, and the CyCognito blog. Phillip's proudest writing accomplishment is "The Pentester BluePrint: Starting a Career as an Ethical Hacker." Phillip is the concept creator and co-author of the book. The book's subject came from one of his pentesting class lectures, which became a conference talk on starting a career in pentesting. John Wiley & Sons, Inc publishes the book.
